at Daily City Photo Blogs. This month the theme is Street signs and Street lights.
Early one morning this shot presented itself to me. I stopped at this stop sign, as the sun was coming up. Glinting in the sun was a perfect spiders web. Perhaps the flies would like to stop there too?

Smart spider...great photo!
How efficient of the spider--might as well take advantage of a place everyone's already stopping. :) Great photo.
Hi yes the summer 'STOPPED" and the autumn started today,
The spiers enjoy the wet weather...
:) Have a good weekend

Original and surprising shot, it changes from the other pictures I have seen so far for this theme day.
Ah, just beautiful. Super.
You caught the web so nicely there. It's not always easy to see them in photographs.
I'll bet the flies would just as soon "run the stop sign" here, regardless of any fly police nearby.
The web makes this photo of the stop sign most unusual. Also like the partial view of the sign. Nice job!!
Normally I don't like spiders however your reminder that they eat flies make me reconsider.
Awesome shot! I doubt those flies will be stopping here though :)
Oh what a super web - I'm a lover of spiders and this is certainly a contender for best theme-photo today.
Susan, What a wonderful shot for our theme day today! I was just thinking that I've never seen a mosquito caught in a web. Now wouldn't that be a great species to stop there!

The spider must feel quite safe there.
Yes that spider knows how to announce that he wants the bugs to stop at his "restaurant" for a meal...his of course.
Great shot.
Gosh! It is 2 in the morning and my head hurts!
That's a good one. At least the web will make some species actually stop at the sign. We humans tend to be more lenient. Stop only when it suits us. The flies will have no option, once in the web....
Isn't it amazing when you come across something like this? I like it! not spiders so much but the result is wonderful.
Great shot!
