Vernal Equinox

Today is the first official day of Autumn.
The vernal equinox, which roughly translated means equal hours of daylight and darkness.
Following a relatively dry summer, September brings cooler nights. The results are very colourful. Suddenly the trees are filling with brilliant colours that just a couple of days ago were mostly green.

You're so right about the swift appearance of fall's beauty--several trees outside our apartment windows change every night. Thanks for the lovely photo.

Hi Susan,
Your photos are really incredible! leaves turning, canoeing, mountains...how lucky you are to live in such a place.

Great colour!!

Thanks for visiting my NorthBayPhoto blog. I know that NHL tickets are bit pricey (I've seen a few Leaf games - scalpers want insane prices), but what was great about Hockeyville is that the tickets were all free!
