Bi Polar

The winter critters at the shopping center. In this display, penguins are at the North Pole. They are a long way from home! Father Christmas seems happy to see them!

There we go again, shopping center displays with penguins, I suppose there is also a polar bear that would love a penguin as a snack.
There used to be a penguin in the northern hemisphere, the Great Auk, now extinct, the last sighted breeding pair were killed on the island of Eldey off the Iceland Coast. July 3, 1844

What a beautiful blog! I love your pictures and would love to visit Maple Ridge! Your pictures depict it almost like a dreamworld. I currently live in a Texas town that does not have much scenery, snow, or even a Christmas parade--a little dismal. I grew up in New Mexico near the mountain village of Cloudcroft and can remember the beautiful fir trees in the winter. I can't tell you how much I miss our Christmas parades which also took place in the evening. I borrowed your parade picture in my blog and would like to add your URL to my post if that is ok with you. You are so blessed! I may just have to add Maple Ridge on my list of places to visit!
