The Hung Gingerbread Man

This little guy was made for our tree by my sister almost 20 years ago. We joke around that he is really hung, due to the noose around his neck!

When I was young our tree was full of things that you could eat - and we did. The best was the springerle cookies. Before my mom and aunts passed away I learned how to make springerles. Now my daughter knows how to make them. Its been in the family over 100 years, tradition, tradition, tradition. I will try to take a picture of the cookies.

Nice.

For us old folks, it is a weary time of year. So as it winds down may I wish you and your family a very happy and healthy holiday and a prosperous new year.
