And what do I see? A field of dandelions.
A flower imported from Europe, a long time ago, like starlings and sparrows, it has made itself welcome or unwelcome everywhere across the United States. It is good for wine making and the leaves are delicious as salad greens and it can be cooked like spinnach. I love them for these reasons and because they are a good source of food for so many insects.
