Now there's an interesting tie! Bought of course, by his Mother-in-Law. Covered in the star insignia of our Order. My hubby proudly wears it to all our Star meetings. On his lapel is a crocheted dogwood flower. The official flower of British Columbia, chosen my our Worthy Matron as her flower. Our lovely model is also wearing a hand made lace angel, which each officer was presented with.
I miss you sweetie.

Very handsome indeed, and thanks for the explanation. One question: what is the "Order" and its significance?
I did not understood well the type of ceremony but I have very appreciated the tie to stars. Attractive photograph, significant in its explanation of the details.
il est tres classe, bravo
it is very class, cheer
very smart!!! what are star meetings??
To answer your questions...
It is the 'Order of the Eastern Star' that we belong to. It is affiliated with the Freemasons. Men must me Masons to join and women must be related or married to a Mason. It is a fun organization , nice social events and alot of charity work to support cancer fundraising and encouraging those who are afflicted with this terrible disease.
I think you are proud of your husband, Susan. It's such a fine thing to love the one you're with.
