Locking Antlers


On our way home from Edmonton, as we drove through the Rockies we were stopped by a herd of Elk meandering across the highway. These two were up on the hill at the side of the road. Its a bit dim beacause we were losing the light . This picture doesnt show off their huge size. Soon I will post one that does.

Oh fantastic - you were definitely in the right place at the right time! I hope you weren't too close though - I don't think I'd want to be too close to elk that are fighting! (I remember seeing elk in Canada and they're not small and cute, are they?!)

Thats a really neat capture. They may be fighting, but they look awesome doing it.
