Cyclists on the dike. The Golden Ears Mountains bringing up the rear. The dikes are surfaced with packed gravel and are a wonderful riding place. No motorized vehicles are permitted on them.
Taken at the end of last April. Much of the snow is melted away now by the summer heat.

I adore a very beautiful landscape with the characters placed well
in one week, I will be in their place in Pyrénnées (southern
of France) on my Bike VTT.
You live in one of the most beautiful parts of the World Susan, and you know it :-)
The day before yesterday I saw a fantastic Fast Track report on BBC World about Vancouver, Richmond and Vancouver Island.
I learned about the average 117 rainy days in that area, the 130 nationalities. 1/3 of the population in Richmond is of Asian origin. The rich diversity in food from all those cultures. They showed us beatuful sceneries and natural pools where people could swim or just sit in to cool off.
The reporter and his team invited the viewers into a watertaxi for a 1 1/2 hour tour to show us eagle nests, seals and whales. We heard the whales singing and they blew piles of water in the air and in the background these massive mountains. I was very impressed. We missed the orka's.
When there is a paradise, this must be it.
