Mailbox

Looking northward towards the Golden Ears Mountains. I edited this shot. I made it black and white except for the hint of red in the mail box. It almost looks like a sketch now. I also like how the B&W shows up the ridges of the hills better. I am posting a small shot of the original for your comparison. Which do you like best?

The BW one is like a postcard! No snow for us, 14°C this morning...

Hi Susan,
looks like you are having a traditional winter there! I'm so envious, we miss winter here, at the moment it's still autumnal with some roses in bloom. The U.K. is almost sub-tropical. You've also just reminded me that it's time to update the links again.

Have a good week!

I like B&W, but in the mailbox pic, i like the colour pic better, My have been better if all the mailbox was in sun.
Do you ever see red, but when you look at the pic, it is not a bright a red as you thought? I think our brain says...Red when maybe not quite as red as we imagine

I'm with you on the black and white with the touch of red. It's quite nice as a snowscene photo.

The mountains in the original photo are lovely so if I were honing in on them I might prefer the color.

Definately the black and white. I like the sketch-like quality of it.
