This sign is present year round. I like how bright the red is amongst all this gray and white. It is lodged amongst the rocks on this dike bank. We had to keep the dog on his lead here as the ice is thin. But no THIN ICE sign ! Good job most of us Maple Ridgers are clever enough to think this one up on our own.

Yes, the red does catch the eye.
I suppose the officials think if they've warned you away they don't need to mention the thin ice, right?
Thin ice... I have a picture of a thin ice sign taken along your dyke. I posted it to my blog on Jan 6, it said thin ice but it had melted leaving the sign in water.
Meanwhile back in Oliver, I also have pictures of thick ice on my blog with skaters and ice yachts.
Beautiful light on the snow; interesting sign !
Nice picture. I guess one has to be careful at all times. Dangerous but beautiful.
Cute picture, lovely colors.
Danger is there but i only look at the colors contrast!
Nice cup too!:)
That signpost is wearing a whimsical white stocking cap!
an ominous warning but at least a sensible one.
